Is too much self-reliance a bad thing?

I'm very self-reliant and often others cannot get on the same page with me. I don't cry about the same old things anymore, I don't care about having a relationship, I don't care if i'm cool or uncool, I don't care what I look like to others, I don't care if i'm too this or that to take a risk or do the most boldest things. Why? Is that a problem?
