Were there ritual sex cults at the time of Jesus?
I have read about ritual prostitution in temples at the time of St Paul. These were the kinds of activity that St Paul was preaching against, What do we know about these? Were they associated with standard Hellenistic worship or more akin to modern satanic cults?
