What are your thoughts on the name Phillip?

My boyfriend wants to name our son Phillip James (hunter is our last name). I have never been a fan of the name Phillip but it might grow on me. I was wondering how others see it. I see the name as a name for older men. He would likely be nicknamed Phil, which I don't like. It just might be a name that will grow on me. What are your thoughts?
