How do I handle this love triangle?

I have a crush on this boy from my class. Last year, I was really unpopular in school but this year it's been much better and I have tons of new friends. My crush is one of them, he's really good with girls, but his ex is one of them, too. Now this ex is kind of � stuck-up self centered piece of sh--, because she was my friend at the beginning of the year and now she ignores me most of the time. My crush and his ex apparently are friends, but every time her name comes up in conversation he speaks negatively of her. But h� and his ex keep hanging out and it confuses me, especially because when the attention reliant ex is around he's focused only on her. Anything I can do say or understand?
